Join a caring community as a Clinical Coding Educator reporting to the Manager of Medicare Risk Adjustment. You will identify opportunities to improve provider documentation and create tailored education plans for assigned providers. Responsibilities include arranging educational sessions to improve quality of care and documentation, analyzing coding audit results and data to develop educational materials, collaborating with provider-facing roles, and participating in cross-functional teams to enhance documentation and workflow processes.
You will utilize data analytics tools such as Excel and Power BI to assess coding quality, identify error patterns, and ensure compliance with standards. The role involves some travel (up to 5%) to provider offices but is primarily remote.
Required qualifications include AHIMA or AAPC CPC Certification, at least 3 years of medical coding education or auditing experience in healthcare, proficiency with data analytics tools, experience with public speaking and presentations, knowledge of risk adjustment and coding guidelines, and residence in NC, SC, GA, VA, MD, or TN.
Preferred qualifications include a Bachelor’s Degree, Certified Risk Adjustment Coder (CRC) credential, healthcare provider experience, strong Microsoft Office skills, valid driver’s license, and Medicare Risk Adjustment knowledge.
