As the Clinical Coding Educator / Coding Educator 2, you will identify opportunities to improve provider documentation and create tailored education plans for each assigned provider. You will arrange educational sessions focused on quality of care and documentation improvements, identify educational needs based on reports, and prepare comprehensive reports and presentations on coding quality trends, risk areas, and educational outcomes using data visualization.
Responsibilities include providing onsite education to providers as needed, collaborating with market provider-facing roles, using data analytics tools to assess coding quality and compliance, analyzing audit results to develop data-driven educational materials, and participating in cross-functional teams to improve documentation, data integrity, and workflows.
Qualifications include AHIMA or AAPC CPC Certification, 3+ years in medical coding education or auditing, proficiency with data analytics tools (Excel, Power BI), strong presentation and communication skills with healthcare providers, and knowledge of Risk Adjustment and coding guidelines. Preferred qualifications include a Bachelor's degree, CRC certification, Medicare Risk Adjustment knowledge, and reliable transportation.
This is a remote position with up to 5% travel to provider offices in NC, SC, GA, VA, MD, or TN. The role reports to the Manager, Medicare Risk Adjustment.
