This full-time role involves outpatient facility coding including Ancillary, Emergency, Same Day Surgery, and Observation services. You'll assign ICD-10, CPT codes, and modifiers according to official and client guidelines, work ethically as per AAPC/AHIMA standards, and maintain quality and productivity standards. You'll also apply knowledge of Medicare APC codes, NCCI edit policies, and Medicare LCD and NCD policies, and participate in coding meetings and education.
You will telecommute from anywhere in the U.S., requiring a dedicated private workspace and adherence to company telecommuter policy.

- High School Diploma/GED
- Professional coder certification from AHIMA and/or AAPC (CCA, CCS, RHIA, RHIT, CPC-H/COC, CIC, CCS-P, CPC), maintained annually
- 2+ years experience with ICD-10, CPT, facility charging, and modifiers
- 2+ years experience in outpatient surgery coding in a facility setting
- Intermediate PC skills, including Windows, Microsoft Excel, and various EMR systems
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and a secure workspace for telecommuting
