Coding Quality Analyst - Intermediate

The Coding Quality Analyst performs audits on coded charts and internal processes to ensure accuracy and compliance with coding guidelines and departmental quality metrics. This includes review of billing screens, charts, correspondence, and documentation for correct CPT/ICD-10 coding and adherence to coding guidelines.

The role demands expertise in CPT and ICD-10 coding, attention to detail, problem-solving skills, effective communication, confidentiality, and organizational skills. Candidates should have a high school diploma or equivalent, coding certification, and 2-5 years of relevant experience. The position offers opportunities to assist with departmental duties, meetings, training, and SOP development.

Position is remote.

Hourly rate ranges approximately from $24.83 to $45.93, depending on qualifications and location.

Requirements & Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Coding certification as required by USACS compliance plan
  • 2-5 years of relevant coding experience or equivalent
  • Expertise in CPT and ICD-10 coding
  • Knowledge of coding guidelines and regulations
  • Ability to audit coding accuracy and provide feedback
  • Comfort with Windows computer environment
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
  • Effective communication skills with coworkers and management
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and work in an organized manner
  • Willingness to work overtime as needed
