As a Revenue Integrity Educator II, you will advance coding accuracy and billing compliance, educate providers on proper coding practices across surgical specialties such as Ophthalmology, OB/GYN, Ortho, Neurosurgery, Otolaryngology, Spine, Urology, and Plastic surgery.
Key responsibilities include conducting provider coding and compliance training, completing provider audits, developing educational materials, and collaborating with Revenue Cycle and Compliance teams. The role demands strong surgical coding expertise, auditing experience, and excellent communication skills.
Applicants should have at least 5 years of coding and auditing experience, hold CPC, CCS, CMC, or CPMA certification, and preferably have Epic system experience. The position requires working Monday through Friday during an 8-hour flex shift and is a work-from-home role restricted to residents within Texas, preferably around the DFW area.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate's Degree or two years of college preferred.
- Minimum 5 years in professional billing with emphasis on coding, auditing, and compliance.
- Certification as Certified Professional Coder (CPC) required; CPMA highly preferred.
- Strong surgical coding experience in Ophthalmology, OB/GYN, Orthopedics, Neurosurgery, Otolaryngology, Spine, Urology, or Plastic Surgery.
- Experience educating providers and conducting audits.
- Epic Electronic Medical Record system experience is strongly preferred.
- Ability to communicate professionally with providers and personnel.
- Must reside in Texas, preferably Dallas-Fort Worth area.
