Youth Villages, a national leader in children's mental and behavioral health, seeks a SWITCH Life Coach for its Memphis Allies initiative. This collaborative program aims to reduce gun violence and build safer neighborhoods by supporting high-risk youth and adults through the SWITCH model, which combines street outreach, life coaching, clinical services, and case management.
The Life Coach will carry a caseload of 6 to 8 adults, meeting participants weekly to establish relationships, enroll them in the program, and help develop personalized life plans focused on goals like job skill development and employment. The role involves mentorship, crisis intervention, group session facilitation, outreach in the community, and collaboration with clinical staff and case managers to improve participant outcomes.
The position requires flexibility to accommodate clients' schedules and readiness to provide on-call crisis support. Documentation is maintained in an electronic medical record system.
Applicants must have a high school diploma or equivalent, at least two years residency in Memphis, cultural competency, and preferably experience in crisis intervention. A valid driver's license, automobile, and auto insurance are required.
