The Physician will provide outpatient professional medical services to patients of all ages in a rural setting and oversee the medical clinic and team.
Deliver patient care including medical histories, screenings, diagnoses, treatments, and prevention services. Manage chronic patients and provide education and coordination of care. Be available on-call as needed.
Document all patient interactions electronically within 24 hours. Review lab reports and referrals. Coordinate patient referrals and work closely with social services and other agencies.
Develop standard operating procedures, conduct medical team training, and ensure continuous quality improvement.
Provide consultation and oversight to mid-level providers and clinic staff. Liaise with professional personnel and oversee specialty services and clinics.
Coordinate electronic health records management and quality monitoring with clinic business office and IT.
Maintain close communication with Healthcare Administrator about clinic needs and patient care issues.
Ensure compliance with professional, federal, and organizational standards including HIPAA and 42 CFR Part 2.
Provide excellent customer service, attend meetings, participate in committees, and assist in clinic administrative oversight.
Develop and coordinate specialty clinics including diabetes, wellness, elder care, and immunizations.
Supervise medical team including nurses, CMAs, mid-level providers, locum tenens, and other medical staff.
- Washington licensed MD or DO with specialty in Internal Medicine or Family Practice with current DEA number
- Board certification preferred
- Minimum 3 years prior experience providing primary care
- Medical Assisted Treatment (MAT) experience
- BLS certification or obtain within 3 months
- Valid driver's license with insurable record
- Pass background check and credentialing process
- Knowledge of Native American history, culture, and health needs preferred
- Ability to work independently in a rural setting
