We’re seeking an experienced Billing Manager (Contractor) to lead billing operations and revenue cycle management across multiple clients. This role is ideal for a hands-on leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment, can motivate a team of independent contractors, and values accuracy, compliance, and client success.
Behavioral health billing and multi-state billing experience are a plus. This is a remote, work-from-home position.
What You’ll Do
- Oversee and streamline billing and collections processes for assigned clients
- Close monthly billing cycles and prepare timely AR, payment, and adjustment reports
- Lead and mentor remote billing contractors, ensuring quality and efficiency
- Serve as the main client contact, building strong professional relationships with billing staff, CFOs, and CEOs
- Design, update, and implement billing procedures and train staff accordingly
- Interview, onboard, and support contractor development
- Collaborate with leadership on client needs, performance, and resource planning
Requirements & Qualifications
What We’re Looking For
- 3–5 years of experience in revenue cycle management, billing operations, or a related leadership role
- Proven ability to improve processes and resolve claims issues effectively
- Strong leadership skills with experience managing remote teams
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
- Strong problem-solving, organizational, and analytical abilities
