You will be responsible for scanning, indexing, filing, and maintaining non-electronic medical and administrative records, while also responding to requests for information and performing quality reviews of scanned documents.
This federal position may include weekend, holiday, and 24/7 schedules.
The role requires experience and/or education sufficient to perform the duties of the position.
Minimum qualifications may be met at the GS-5 or GS-6 level through one of the following:
- GS-5: 4 years of education above high school related to the position, or 1 year of specialized experience equivalent to GS-4.
- GS-6: 1 year of specialized experience equivalent to GS-5.
Relevant experience includes:
- Reviewing medical records for completeness
- Scanning, indexing, and filing medical documentation into electronic health record systems
- Conducting quality control and quality assurance checks on scanned records
- Processing requests for release of information in compliance with privacy requirements
- Maintaining medical record tracking logs
- Retrieving and archiving records
- Communicating with healthcare providers and staff to ensure accurate and complete patient records
Additional conditions of employment include:
- U.S. citizenship required
- Selective Service registration required for applicable males

- Financial suitability review required
- May be subject to a probationary period
