Medical Records Specialist role based in Decatur, Illinois.
Responsible for maintaining accurate and confidential client records to support quality care.
Core duties include digitizing paper records, distributing and relocating charts, maintaining records according to agency procedures, ensuring charts and reports are completed accurately and on time, protecting confidentiality, and handling clerical tasks such as answering phones, responding to emails, and processing admission and discharge records.
Experience as a Medical Records Clerk or similar role.
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Data entry experience.
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Experience working with individuals with mental illness or substance use disorders.
Reliable transportation.
Relevant training and/or certification as a Medical Records Clerk preferred.
