This entry-level role focuses on processing medical records requests, maintaining accuracy and turnaround standards, validating authorizations for release of protected health information, and providing excellent customer service to patients, requestors, and clients.
The position requires attention to detail, strong confidentiality practices, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced healthcare environment. The role also involves scanning ROI requests into the chart, maintaining queue status, assisting with status updates by phone, and ensuring compliance with HIPAA and organizational privacy policies.

Responsibilities
- Complete incoming ROI requests accurately and efficiently
- Maintain 100% ROI accuracy
- Complete STAT requests within one hour and other requests within 24 hours
- Keep queues current
- Validate requests and authorize release of PHI according to established procedures
- Perform quality checks to ensure accuracy, confidentiality, and proper invoicing
- Maintain confidentiality and security of medical records and PHI
- Complete legal affidavits and related questions as needed
- Scan ROI requests into the chart
- Follow HealthMark and client ROI policies
- Maintain a professional appearance and clean work area
- Assist clients, patients, and requestors with medical records status updates by phone
- De-escalate patient complaints when needed
- Complete required company-sponsored and regulatory training
- $1,000 sign-on bonus, paid after 180 days of employment
