Provides clerical and administrative support for the Medical Records Department under the supervision of the Medical Records Manager.
Responsibilities include processing initial medical record requests, adjudicating ADR call requests, downloading and sending medical records to MACs and CMS, setting up new users and resetting passwords for MAC users, processing medical records and appeals requested by MACs, supporting the MAC Accuracy project, attending required training, and following departmental policies and procedures.

- High school diploma or GED
- Knowledge of medical record processing
- Ability to lift and move boxes repeatedly weighing up to 50 pounds
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team to meet service level agreements
- Ability to quality check a high volume of claims daily
- Ability to work under pressure and within tight time constraints
- Strong problem-solving and multitasking skills
- Knowledge of personal computer systems including MS Word and MS Excel
- Familiarity with office equipment such as computers, copiers, fax machines, and scanners
- Ability to perform record imaging after training
- Ability to file and retrieve records
- Strong attention to detail
- Knowledge of medical terminology
