This role is responsible for processing release of information (ROI) requests, specifically medical record requests, accurately and efficiently while protecting patient privacy and ensuring HIPAA compliance. The position is onsite in St. Louis, MO and includes handling patient walk-ins, processing records requests, documenting information across multiple systems, and providing high-quality customer service.
- High school diploma or GED
- Basic computer proficiency
- Strong data entry skills
- Professional verbal and written communication skills in English
- Detail-oriented and quality-focused approach to medical records
- Ability to organize and manage multiple tasks
- Ability to work with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to commute between locations as needed
- Willingness to work overtime during peak seasons when required
Preferred:
- Knowledge of HIPAA and medical terminology
- Familiarity with EHR and billing systems
- Experience working with subpoenas
- Experience in a healthcare environment
- Prior production- or metric-based work experience
- In-person customer service experience
- Comprehensive onsite and virtual training followed by job shadowing with a mentor
