Medical Records Management
- Create, update, and manage electronic and paper health records for new admissions.
- Perform routine documentation audits on active and closed charts to ensure state compliance and timely physician signatures.
- Manage discharge and chart thinning processes according to facility policy.
- Process authorized medical record requests in compliance with HIPAA privacy guidelines.
- Assemble, verify, and securely close clinical records upon resident discharge or death.
Central Supply Coordination
- Audit and track daily stock levels in the central supply room and nursing unit utility stations.
- Place authorized supply orders with approved healthcare vendors while managing the facility budget.
- Receive shipments, cross-check packing slips, organize storage, and distribute medical supplies to floors.
- Inspect, clean, track, and safely store specialty equipment such as IV poles and oxygen concentrators.
- Audit and replenish emergency crash carts to maintain facility readiness.
Requirements & Qualifications
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Some healthcare administration coursework preferred.
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification highly preferred, but not required.
- 1-2 years of administrative or supply experience in a long-term care or skilled nursing facility environment.
- Proficiency with nursing home EHR systems such as PointClickCare and Microsoft Office.
- Ability to lift 35-50 pounds, push supply carts, and remain on your feet for extended periods.
