Insight Hospital and Medical Center Chicago is seeking a Release of Information Specialist to compile, process, maintain, and report patient medical records in accordance with medical, administrative, ethical, legal, and regulatory standards.
This role is performed in a highly confidential manner and supports the hospital’s mission to provide compassionate, expert care while protecting patient privacy and ensuring compliance with HIPAA and related state and federal laws.
Key responsibilities include processing release of information requests, handling medical record and billing requests, preparing copies of medical records and related documents, and delivering strong customer service to patients, attorneys, insurance companies, and other requestors.
