Medical Records Technician

Cabell Huntington Hospital is seeking a full-time Medical Records Technician to work alongside the Health Information Management Department.

The incumbent retrieves documentation from various nursing units and ancillary departments and scans records into the electronic medical record in a timely manner. The role also involves accurately indexing each document by document type and patient, reviewing medical records for compliant documentation, assigning and tracking deficiencies, and processing requests for Release of Information in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
