HealthMark Group is hiring an entry-level Onsite Medical Records Processing Specialist to support release of information (ROI) and medical records processing operations.
The role is based in Paris, Texas, with the ability to work primarily remotely while providing onsite coverage as needed.
Key responsibilities
- Complete incoming ROI requests in a timely and efficient manner
- Maintain 100% ROI accuracy and meet turnaround-time standards
- Validate requests and authorize release of PHI according to established procedures
- Perform quality checks to ensure accuracy, confidentiality, and proper invoicing
- Maintain confidentiality and HIPAA compliance when handling medical records
- Complete legal affidavits and related questions as needed
- Scan ROI requests into the chart and keep queues current
- Follow HealthMark and client-specific ROI policies
- Maintain a clean, orderly work area and updated facility guides
- Provide excellent customer service to patients, clients, and requestors
- Assist with status updates for medical records requests by phone
- De-escalate patient concerns when needed
