Clinical Documentation Auditor

Mahajan Therapeutics is seeking a QA/Payroll Specialist for billing quality control. This role supports the coordination, maintenance, and auditing of client treatment records and helps ensure documentation accuracy, billing integrity, and compliance within the EHR/EMR systems.

Key duties include:

  • Maintaining and auditing individual client records in EHR
  • Performing daily and weekly documentation audits for accuracy and compliance
  • Auditing discharge charts for completion and accuracy
  • Conducting biweekly billing audits of billable services and coordinating with the billing company
  • Reviewing notes to ensure alignment with ISP goals and clinical documentation
  • Monitoring the accuracy of forms and EHR procedures
  • Reporting chart and documentation issues to the Treatment Center Director
  • Reconciling failed activities, failed claims, billing, timecards, and EHR reports
  • Assisting with denial reconciliation, insurance eligibility verification, and payroll data entry
  • Supporting clerical tasks such as filing, copying, typing, and chart creation
  • Following clinic policies as well as state and federal regulations
Requirements & Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent from an accredited secondary education institute
  • Experience and knowledge of state and federal healthcare regulations
  • Prior experience determining whether a patient meets admission criteria for a program
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Detail-oriented with a high level of ownership and accuracy
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Ability to work in a matrixed organizational structure
  • Satisfactory references and background check
  • Satisfactory drug screen
