Medical Records Specialist at Witherite Law Group is responsible for managing and organizing medical records and related documents for ongoing personal injury cases, particularly those involving motor vehicle accidents. The role includes ordering and following up on medical, billing, and radiology records, verifying subrogation liens, and maintaining accurate records in the case management system (Filevine).
The position also handles OCR and redaction of client records so they are ready for Case Managers and Paralegals. The role requires managing a large caseload, meeting deadlines, and maintaining effective communication with medical providers and clients.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience, preferably in a plaintiff’s personal injury law firm
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills on the phone, in person, and by email
- Excellent time management, multi-tasking, and critical thinking abilities
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and case management software (Needles preferred)
- Proficient in personal injury law involving motor vehicle accidents
- Excellent organizational skills with outstanding attention to detail
