The ROI Specialist provides onsite support at a client site for Release of Information requests related to patient medical records.
This position is based onsite in Reno, NV and involves handling medical record requests, logging requests in the ROI On-Line database, responding to phone inquiries, and supporting walk-in customers and physician offices as needed.
Requirements & Qualifications
Qualifications
- Proficiency using computer applications
- One or more years of experience entering data into computer systems
- Experience using the internet
- Ability to work independently and meet production goals
- Strong verbal communication skills and customer service experience
- Strong attention to detail
- Dependability and proven track record of reliability
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Prior Release of Information experience in a physician's office or HIM department preferred
- Knowledge of medical terminology preferred
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations preferred
