You will work with medical and administrative records by scanning, indexing, filing, and maintaining documentation in support of patient services and community well-being.
Duties
- Scan, index, and file non-electronic medical and administrative information and forms
- Maintain daily logs of documents scanned, filed, and indexed
- Respond to information requests in a positive and efficient manner
- Perform qualitative reviews of work completed by self and others on scanned documents
Requirements & Qualifications
Qualifications
- Must meet GS-5 or GS-6 specialized experience requirements, or equivalent education and experience
- Experience reviewing medical records for completeness and maintaining documentation in an electronic health record system
- Experience scanning, indexing, filing, and maintaining medical records
- Experience processing requests for release of information in accordance with privacy requirements
- Experience conducting quality control or quality assurance checks on scanned records
- Experience maintaining tracking logs, retrieving and archiving records, and communicating with healthcare providers and staff
Conditions of Employment
- U.S. citizenship required
- Selective Service registration required for males born after 12/31/1959
- Subject to a federal background investigation and financial suitability review

- Work schedule may include weekends, holidays, and 24/7 coverage
