Compile, process, and maintain facility medical records in accordance with federal, state, local, and facility requirements. Coordinate medical record requests from residents, resident representatives, and outside entities. Maintain confidentiality, support release-of-information processes, and assist with records related to reimbursement and legal requests.
Requirements & Qualifications
Must have a High School Diploma or GED.
- Prior experience in a long-term care facility is a plus
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Knowledge of medical terminology
- Ability to follow directions and work independently with minimal supervision
- Ability to communicate tactfully with residents, families, visitors, personnel, government agencies, and the general public
- Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel
- Must be able to read, write, and speak English clearly
