The medical bill review/cost containment supervisor oversees daily operations for a medical bill review department, ensuring staff meet production and accuracy goals while analyzing and processing workers’ compensation and auto medical invoices in accordance with fee schedule or UCR guidelines.
The role is primarily work from home, with occasional travel to the Mechanicsburg, PA office for training or other business needs. The selected candidate may also work from the company office on occasion.
Demonstrated supervisory experience in workers’ compensation and auto medical bill review, cost containment, bill repricing, and/or bill coding.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to adapt to changes in duties and assignments.
Ability to organize, prioritize, and coordinate multiple tasks.
Ability to produce work with high quantity and quality.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word and Outlook; Excel is a plus.
Preferred:
- Appropriate certification as a medical biller/coder
- Two years of experience as a medical biller/coder
- RN experience in medical bill repricing
- Previous supervisory experience in medical bill repricing
- Experience repricing workers’ compensation and auto bills, particularly in the New York jurisdiction
