The Director of Revenue Cycle Management will supervise and coordinate billing, claim payment posting, self-pay billing support, client statements, bad debt, client correspondence, account support, and credentialing coordination/liaison activities. The role is responsible for maintaining a timely billing process that follows current funding source guidelines.
Key responsibilities include leading Revenue Cycle staff, overseeing monthly billing and self-pay processes, managing credentialing coordination, monitoring collections, processing fee appeals, ensuring compliance with funding source and legal guidelines, serving as liaison to the Electronic Health Records System, reconciling progress notes not tied to claims, updating rate changes, educating leadership on billing changes, coordinating outside billing code audits, improving quality control, and supporting financial reconciliation and reporting efforts.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- 3 years of accounting experience; education may be substituted on a year-for-year basis
- 5 years of experience with CPT codes in a medical/mental health billing office
- Minimum 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role
- Proficiency with Excel and Microsoft Office
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Successful completion of KBI, Central Registry, and other applicable background investigations
- Valid Kansas driver's license
