Dental Billing Specialist

American Dental Care is seeking a detail-oriented Dental Billing Specialist to join its billing team in Dover, DE. This role manages the full dental revenue cycle, from claim submission through payment posting and accounts receivable follow-up, with a focus on clean claims, fast reimbursements, and healthy AR.

The position is full-time, Monday through Friday, and requires on-site work. It is not a remote role.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Submit accurate dental insurance claims using Eaglesoft
  • Verify patient insurance eligibility and benefits before appointments
  • Follow up on outstanding claims, unpaid balances, and insurance AR
  • Post insurance and patient payments accurately and promptly
  • Review and resolve claim rejections and denials
  • Draft and submit appeal letters when needed
  • Communicate with insurance carriers to resolve payment discrepancies
  • Generate and review aging reports
  • Coordinate with front desk and clinical teams to obtain missing documentation
  • Maintain accurate billing records and claim activity documentation
  • Assist with end-of-month billing reconciliation and reporting
Requirements & Qualifications
  • Minimum 5 years of dental billing experience
  • Experience with Eaglesoft reporting and accounts receivable management
  • Proficiency with dental insurance claims, including PPO, HMO, and Medicaid
  • Working knowledge of CDT codes, EOBs, and coordination of benefits
  • Experience with dental practice management software, preferably Eaglesoft
  • Strong understanding of dental insurance terminology and billing procedures
  • Excellent attention to detail, organization, and follow-up skills
  • Familiarity with Weave or similar patient communication platforms is preferred
  • Knowledge of HIPAA compliance in a dental setting is preferred
  • Dental billing certification such as AAPC or ADBA is a plus
