NARA Northwest is seeking a detail-oriented Dental Billing Specialist to support dental clinic revenue cycle operations. This role is responsible for accurate billing of dental services, efficient claim submission and tracking, and proper processing of insurance reimbursements.
The position works in a hybrid schedule after the probationary period, with three days onsite and two days from home. It is based at River House in Portland, Oregon.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year of dental office billing experience, including experience coding dental procedures, encounters, and visits
- Experience with OHP, Medicare, and managed healthcare
- Experience with MS Office
- Experience with practice management software; Dentrix preferred
- Knowledge of dental and medical terminology
- Basic math skills and knowledge of general accounting procedures
- Ability to complete documentation in accordance with governmental regulations, laws, NARA NW policies, procedures, guidelines, and best practices
- Must pass a pre-employment or for-cause drug test
- Must pass a criminal background check
- Preferred: Dental Billing Certificate
- Preferred: Dentrix experience
- Preferred: Experience working within the Native American / Alaska Native community
