Lead the administrative and operational functions of a busy medical practice.
This role is responsible for directing daily clinic operations, improving workflow efficiency, managing financial and human resources, and supporting high standards of patient care. The position oversees a broad range of practice management functions, including billing, compliance, credentialing, staffing, budgeting, and operational planning.
Key responsibilities include:
- Oversee daily clinic operations across medical records, billing, patient management, and clinical support staff
- Manage budgeting, financial operations, billing processes, and cost controls
- Supervise healthcare staff, including hiring, onboarding, training, performance evaluations, and team development
- Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, safety protocols, HIPAA, OSHA, CLIA, and JCAHO standards
- Maintain proficiency with EMR/EHR systems and practice management software such as Eaglesoft and Dentrix
- Coordinate with medical providers on practice management, utilization management, and quality assurance initiatives
- Lead human resources functions and support a collaborative workplace culture
- Oversee medical administrative support functions, including billing, coding accuracy, and medical records management
- Implement office policies that support customer service and operational efficiency
- Track KPIs, support strategic planning, and drive practice growth and financial performance
- Assist with credentialing, acquisition integration, and new facility setup projects
Requirements & Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree required.
- 5–10 years of experience in practice or healthcare management
- Experience in healthcare administration
- Knowledge of billing, CPT coding, general accounting, human resources, and information systems management
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Ability to analyze financial statements, maintain databases, and produce complex documents
- Strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills
- Experience managing and motivating employees
- Familiarity with healthcare compliance standards, including HIPAA and JCAHO
- Background in medical office operations, coding/billing workflows, and workflow optimization
- Acute care experience is highly desirable
