We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Optician to join our team. The ideal candidate will help provide exceptional customer service while assisting patients in selecting and fitting eyewear. This role involves working in a fast-paced environment, maintaining accurate patient records, and ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Key responsibilities include assisting patients with eyewear selection, performing fittings and adjustments, managing basic laboratory tasks, processing medical billing and coding for insurance claims, documenting patient records, and collaborating with ophthalmologists and other healthcare professionals.
Previous experience as an Optician or in a related field is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of vision care and anatomy related to eye health
- Familiarity with ophthalmology practices is a plus
- Proficiency in medical billing and coding processes
- Experience with retail management is advantageous
- Ability to work with patient records and appointment systems
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
