Conduct compliance audits on medical billing functions performed by TruBridge employees, contractors, and subcontractors.
Provide informal guidance to billers and help resolve straightforward issues.
Discuss audit findings with the Compliance Consultant and/or Department Leader to identify corrective and preventative actions, including education, policy and procedure updates, and changes to billing software or electronic health record settings.
Conduct research using federal, state, payer-specific, and internal billing guidelines.
Perform additional job-related duties as assigned.

Minimum requirements
- 2 years of Medicare hospital billing experience within the last 12 months
- Prior experience researching Medicare/Medicaid billing concepts
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational, multitasking, and time-management skills
- Detail-oriented with the ability to follow issues through to resolution
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Comfortable speaking in a group setting
- Able to present audit findings confidently and constructively
- Able to teach billing compliance concepts to individuals
Preferred qualifications
- 5 years of Medicare/Medicaid hospital billing experience
- Acute Hospital and CAH Medicare/Medicaid billing experience
- Prior billing compliance auditing experience
- Excel experience helpful
