Detail-oriented Medical Records Specialist needed to support accurate, timely, and compliant documentation for a fast-growing medical supply company.
This role focuses on maintaining prescription and authorization records, performing high-volume provider outreach, reviewing documentation for payer compliance, and coordinating with internal teams to prevent interruptions in patient supply coverage.
The position is remote and follows a Monday through Friday schedule, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM PST.
Requirements & Qualifications
Required
- Excellent phone etiquette and comfort with high-volume outbound calls to clinics, PCPs, and healthcare facilities
- Working knowledge of ICD-10 coding and medical documentation standards
- Strong Excel skills and comfort using databases and web portals
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and multitasking ability
- Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
Preferred
- Experience with prior authorizations and insurance workflows
- Experience with Brightree or similar medical billing/records software
- Background in DME, pharmacy, or clinic administration
