Spencer Hospital is seeking a leader for its Health Information Department in Spencer, Iowa. This position oversees department operations, supports documentation and record completion efforts, manages unbilled accounts receivable, and helps ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
The role also works closely with physicians, medical staff, attorneys, and patient accounting teams to support accurate records, credentialing, privileging, and overall departmental performance.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science degree in a related field or equivalent experience
- RHIA certification or RHIT from the American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA), required or willingness to obtain upon hire
- 3–5 years of HIM / coding experience
- Supervisory or leadership experience
