Data entry into the electronic health record (EHR).
Coordinates patient scheduling and helps ensure patient satisfaction through consistent and continuous scheduling.
Reviews medical records for completeness and retrieves missing information as needed.
Attaches documents received by fax, scan, or mail into the EHR.
Monitors aged unsigned provider orders, submits signing requests to providers, and tracks them in accordance with regulatory requirements.
Receives and responds to written and verbal requests for medical records and transports/transfers records to the requesting area.
Reviews Face-to-Face and referral documentation for completeness and adequacy per regulatory requirements.
Answers and transfers phones efficiently.
Updates patient demographic data accurately in the EHR.
Processes incoming and outgoing mail and faxes as needed.
Assists management with typing, filing, and other computer-related tasks.
Files, prints, faxes, copies, cleans, organizes, and assembles new patient folders as assigned.
Reviews patient charts for billing accuracy and follows up on unmet requirements to support timely billing.
Provides backup support to other team members as assigned.
Participates in information management and quality assurance performance improvement (QAPI) activities.
High school diploma or equivalent required.
General clerical, data entry, and strong organizational skills.
Healthcare experience preferred.
Medical terminology desired.
EHR medical record documentation experience preferred.
Effective verbal and written communication skills in English.
Working knowledge of computer software programs.
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
Ability to pass a criminal background check and national sex offender clearance.
Must report to the administrative office for the entire shift; this is not a remote position.
