This role is responsible for the timely review and completion of organ and/or tissue donor case files, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with organizational policies and regulatory requirements. The Donor Information Specialist works with internal teams and external partners to obtain missing documentation, enter case data into databases, and communicate important donor information to transplant centers, processors, laboratories, and other agencies.
The position also serves as backup coverage for donor records processing functions and supports efforts to improve documentation quality, workflow tracking, and case completion timelines.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university, or completion of a Surgical Technologist, EMT, or LVN program with state certification
- 2+ years of recovery experience in organ or tissue banking preferred
- CTBS certification required within 2 years of employment
- Current California driver’s license and vehicle insurance meeting California minimum standards
- Ability to pass a local government agency background check
- Reliable automotive transportation required
