Upswing is an online student success service connecting students with tutors, mentors, and advisors 24/7 to help achieve their degree or certificate.
This role involves tutoring college-level students in introductory to advanced medical billing and coding courses using Upswing's virtual classroom. Tutors foster learning independence with an emphasis on The Socratic Method and critical thinking development.
Tutors set their own hours based on availability and student demand.
Ideal candidates have advanced knowledge or subject matter expertise through education or professional experience in medical billing and coding, excellent academic performance, enjoy teaching and problem-solving, have strong organizational and communication skills, and preferably a background in teaching methodology or tutoring. Additional tutoring subjects such as algebra, statistics, college writing, or biology are a bonus.

This is a fully remote position requiring reliable computer and internet access. Payments are made via PayPal.
Compensation is $14-$16 per hour.
- Subject matter expert or advanced knowledge in medical billing and coding from undergraduate degree, certification, graduate degree, or professional experience
