Clarius Medical Group PLLC is a dynamic and patient-centered internal medicine and geriatrics practice providing top-tier primary care across clinics, hospitals, and specialized facilities in Sugar Land and the Greater Houston area. They utilize advanced EHR systems including eClinicalWorks and Healow to improve patient care outcomes.

This full-time, on-site Medical Biller/Coder role involves managing front-end and back-end billing operations in outpatient or multi-site healthcare settings. The position requires collaboration with healthcare providers, practice management, and external consultants to ensure timely and accurate claims submissions and optimized revenue cycles.

Key responsibilities include:

Reviewing, coding, and processing medical encounters following ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS standards
Preparing and submitting electronic and paper claims via clearinghouses
Managing claim rejections, denials, and appeals
Reconciling payments, posting Explanation of Benefits (EOBs), and tracking outstanding balances
Verifying insurance eligibility and patient benefits
Communicating effectively with patients regarding billing inquiries and statements
Ensuring compliance with HIPAA and payer-specific billing regulations
Generating financial and productivity reports as requested

Qualifications:

Minimum of 2+ years of medical billing and coding experience, preferably in primary care, internal medicine, or geriatrics
Proficiency with eClinicalWorks (eCW) EHR system
Professional coding certifications such as CPC or CPB preferred but not required
Knowledge of Revenue Cycle Management workflows including claim submission and payer follow-ups
Strong communication, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple tasks
Able to work independently and collaboratively according to team and company policies
