Responsibilities include interpreting and applying medical billing codes accurately, analyzing and verifying charges, running and interpreting complex reports to identify billing errors, collaborating with healthcare providers and insurance companies to resolve discrepancies, implementing strategic plans to improve billing procedures, training and mentoring staff on new billing procedures and regulations, providing expert advice on billing practices, conducting audits to ensure compliance, collaborating with finance teams, and assisting in policy and procedure development to improve efficiency and reduce billing errors.

Qualifications include a bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred; a minimum of 5 years of experience in medical billing; extensive knowledge of medical billing codes and regulations; proficiency in running and interpreting complex reports; exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills; strong communication and interpersonal skills; proficiency in medical billing software and Microsoft Office Suite; ability to work independently and as part of a team; excellent attention to detail and accuracy; commitment to continuous learning and staying updated on healthcare industry changes; certification in Medical Billing or related field preferred.
