Medical Billing Specialists are primarily responsible for insurance follow-up, review of payment posting and associated denials. They are key to maintaining client satisfaction and keeping accounts healthy, utilizing company tools and software. They also collaborate with coders to write appeals and correct claims.
Duties vary and include patient communication, records submission, benefits review, charge entry, written appeals, and Letters of Medical Necessity (LOMN's). Other tasks and projects are assigned based on departmental needs and must be performed within set deadlines.
Starting pay is based on experience, starting at $16/hour and up.

- Proficient knowledge of ICD-10 / HCPCS
- Proficient in Microsoft Office & Google-based webpages
- Accounts Receivable follow-up experience (preferred)
- Collections experience (preferred)
- Physical Therapy Claims experience (preferred)
- Ability to multi-task and keen attention to detail
- Minimum of 2+ years of medical billing experience (outside schooling/externship)
