They are seeking an experienced Medical Biller who is detail-oriented, proactive, and driven to resolve claims accurately and efficiently.
Responsibilities include tracking, following up, and resolving insurance claims to ensure timely reimbursement; working unpaid, rejected, or suspended claims and credit balances; researching denials and submitting appeals with supporting documentation; auditing patient accounts to identify and process refunds; assisting patients with billing questions and insurance-related concerns; coordinating with collections staff for delinquent accounts; staying current on insurance policy updates; working claims through practice management systems, clearinghouses, and carrier edits; collaborating with fellow account representatives; maintaining strict confidentiality regarding patient and financial information; completing required compliance education and ongoing training.
Requirements include a minimum of 1 year of medical billing or related healthcare experience; strong understanding of medical billing processes and insurance follow-up; excellent communication skills (written, verbal, phone); strong organizational skills; team-oriented mindset; proficiency with standard office equipment and computer systems; commitment to accuracy, accountability, and patient confidentiality.
