OSIS is seeking a detail-oriented Medical Billing Specialist (Tech I) with a strong focus on payment posting to support the Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) team. This fully remote position involves ensuring accurate and timely revenue collection for Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHCs) and Community Health Centers (CHCs) across multiple states.
Key responsibilities include focusing heavily on payment posting, executing a variety of medical billing and revenue cycle workflows, processing daily/weekly/monthly billing tasks, managing charges and transactions, AR management, patient and payer interactions, reviewing billing requirements, collaborating with internal teams, participating in ongoing training, using NextGen PM software, contributing to workflow analysis, and meeting performance goals.
- At least 1 year of medical billing experience
- Experience with clearinghouses and payer/healthcare portals
- Knowledge of ICD-10 and CPT coding
- Strong communication and customer service skills
Preferred:
- Experience with FQHC billing
- Experience with Dental or Behavioral Health billing
- Familiarity with NextGen EPM, EDR, or Optical
- MS Excel proficiency
- Fully remote position with telecommuting privileges
- Standard Monday–Friday schedule, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. ET
- Minimal travel (5–10 days per year)
