Responsibilities:

  • Teach core courses within the Medical Coding and Billing program, ensuring alignment with curriculum standards and industry requirements

  • Incorporate the use of EHR and billing software systems as part of the instructional process to provide practical, hands-on experience
  • Mentor and support students to enhance retention, certification readiness, and externship success, fostering their professional development
  • Maintain a positive and professional learning environment that promotes academic achievement and career readiness

Requirements:

  • Certification in Medical Coding and/or Billing or a related healthcare credential
  • 3–5 years of professional experience in medical coding and billing, demonstrating industry expertise
  • CPR certification preferred, though not required
  • Proficiency in EHR and billing software systems, ensuring familiarity with industry-standard tools
  • Strong communication and mentoring skills to effectively engage and support students
  • Teaching experience is not required, as comprehensive training will be provided to ensure instructional success
