RCM / Collections Specialist / Medical Biller

Option Care Health is the largest independent home and alternate site infusion services provider in the United States, delivering care for patients with acute and chronic conditions. This role requires residing in the Eastern Time Zone.

You will be responsible for timely and accurate submission of invoices to payers, evaluating payments, applying them to patient accounts, and following up to ensure prompt payment. You will assist with billing and collection training and handle second level appeals to payers.

Key responsibilities include:

• Submitting invoices accurately according to contracts and fee schedules.
• Verifying authorizations and required documentation.
• Applying payments correctly and managing overpayments or duplicates.
• Ensuring patient invoices and secondary bills are sent promptly.
• Following up on claims and denials within 48 hours.
• Ensuring compliance with contract terms and HIPAA guidelines concerning patient information confidentiality.

Basic qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 0 to 6 months experience in infusion reimbursement or intake/admissions.
• Basic Microsoft Excel and Word skills.

Salary is determined based on applicant qualifications and internal equity.
