Medical Biller

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Medical Biller to join our dynamic healthcare team. This role includes managing the entire billing process from patient registration through follow-up and collections with a focus on collections, Medicaid, Medicare, and commercial insurance.

Key responsibilities include:

• Manage medical billing process: patient registration, insurance verification, charge entry, claim submission, payment posting, follow-up, and collections
• Ensure accurate and timely billing of medical services
• Review and appeal unpaid and denied claims
• Maintain confidentiality according to HIPAA
• Analyze insurance explanations of benefits (EOBs), remittance advices, and denial notifications
• Provide consulting on best practices for billing, coding, and collections
• Stay current with insurance regulations including Medicaid and Medicare
• Train and mentor junior staff
• Conduct audits for billing accuracy and regulatory compliance
• Collaborate with healthcare providers and staff to resolve billing issues
• Develop strategies to improve billing process and revenue

Qualified candidates should have:

• Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Business Administration, or related field
• Minimum 5 years experience in medical billing, specializing in collections, Medicaid, Medicare, and commercial insurance guidelines
• CPC or Certified Medical Reimbursement Specialist preferred
• Proficiency in medical billing software and Microsoft Office
• Strong knowledge of medical terminology, ICD-10, and CPT coding
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and multitasking skills
• Thorough knowledge of healthcare billing regulations, compliance, and reimbursement
• Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations
