OSIS is seeking a detail-oriented Medical Billing Specialist (Tech I) focused on charge processing to support the Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) team. This role ensures accurate and timely revenue collection for Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHCs) and Community Health Centers (CHCs) across multiple states, providing exceptional service to member organizations.

This is a fully remote position suitable for individuals skilled in medical billing, data and payer information management, and goal-oriented environments.

Responsibilities include heavy focus on charge processing alongside various medical billing and revenue cycle workflows, daily/weekly/monthly billing tasks, managing charges, transactions, AR, patient and payer communication, reviewing federal/state/payer billing requirements, collaborating with internal teams, maintaining updated knowledge of coding, billing rules, healthcare regulations, using NextGen PM for billing and documentation, workflow analysis, and meeting accuracy and productivity performance goals.

Requirements:

1+ years medical billing experience
Experience with clearinghouses and payer/healthcare portals
Knowledge of ICD-10 and CPT coding
Strong communication and customer service skills

Preferred:

Experience with FQHC, dental or behavioral health billing
Experience with NextGen EPM, EDR, or Optical
Proficiency in MS Excel

Work Environment & Schedule:

Fully remote with telecommuting privileges
Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. ET
Minimal travel: 5–10 days per year

Compensation Range:

Note: Hourly pay rate $17.50 - $25.72 per hour (no yearly salary specified)
