This position provides technical support and leadership within the department. Develop and implement best practices to improve safety, quality, productivity, and cost reduction. Develop specific performance parameters for operations.
Provides support for process improvement projects involving chemicals, mechanical improvements, support for trials and new technologies. Supports plant’s Key Performance Indicators (KPI) management system by updating operator rounds, auditing operations for out-of-range process variables, and working with management and staff to correct KPI issues.
Drives best practices in safe operations and ensures safety of all operations, maintenance, and staff personnel.
Must be a self-starter, self-directed, take initiative, be committed, and able to work with and influence others. Must learn quickly and analyze data.

Background / Experience:
- Minimum 1-3 years work experience in the pulp and paper industry
