Oscar Health is hiring a Risk Adjustment Coder Specialist to join their Risk Adjustment team. The role focuses on Medicare Advantage (MA) and Affordable Care Act (ACA) lines and works closely with management to meet goals and comply with deadlines set by CMS and HHS.
Responsibilities include performing medical record reviews to report ICD-10-CM diagnosis codes, supporting CMS audits including Risk Adjustment Data Validation audits, maintaining compliance with coding and risk adjustment standards, fostering relationships to increase understanding of the Risk Adjustment process, identifying document improvement opportunities for provider education, improving medical encounter review efficiency, and compliance with applicable laws and other duties as assigned.
This position reports to the Manager of Risk Adjustment and is remote, open to candidates residing in Arizona, Florida, Georgia, or Texas. Occasional travel for team meetings and events may be required.

- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent work experience.
- Certified Professional Coder (CPC).
- Minimum of 2 years retrospective risk adjustment coding experience.
