The position pays between $18.65 – $19.90/hr based on experience and is a full-time onsite role at Tower Phoenixville Hospital in Phoenixville, PA.
We are seeking a Medical Records/Health Information Management Specialist responsible for completing accurate and timely analysis and reanalysis of all medical records, managing documentation from multiple work queues, following up with ancillary, nursing departments, and providers for missing documentation necessary for coding, maintaining unbilled spreadsheets and reporting to management, reviewing medical record documentation in electronic medical records to create charting deficiencies and assign to providers, and ensuring timely analysis and chart completion. The role includes identifying systemic problems, reporting non-compliance issues, documenting workflow processes, and other assigned duties.
Preferred experience includes knowledge of CMS and Joint Commission regulations, EMR experience, and healthcare revenue cycle experience, particularly in acute care facility HIM. Candidates must be inquisitive and open to innovation, including AI, to improve processes and patient/client experiences.
Certification Requirements: The Certified Record Collector (CRCR) is required within 9 months of hire and will be company paid.
