Medical Records Specialist

This entry-level, full-time onsite position is located at Tower - St. Christopher's Hospital in Philadelphia, PA. The role focuses on medical records and health information management, involving accurate and timely analysis and reanalysis of medical records, managing accounts from EMR systems, following up with departments and providers for missing documentation, creating charting deficiencies in medical records, managing work queues, and reporting issues to management.

The position pays between $18.65 and $19.90 per hour based on experience and requires obtaining the CRCR certification within 9 months of hire, which is company-paid.

Requirements & Qualifications

Knowledge of CMS and Joint Commission regulations is preferred. EMR experience and healthcare revenue cycle experience, especially in acute care facility HIM, are favored. Candidates must be inquisitive and open to innovation, including AI utilization to improve processes and patient/client experiences. CRCR certification is required within 9 months of hire (company paid).
