Responsibilities include processing and submitting medical billing claims accurately and timely; reviewing patient records; utilizing ICD-9, ICD-10 coding systems; communicating with insurance companies; maintaining records for audits; staying updated on billing regulations; and collaborating with healthcare providers for proper documentation.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in medical billing and coding in healthcare
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and coding systems (ICD-9, ICD-10)
- Attention to detail and organizational skills

- Familiarity with DRG and reimbursement methodologies is a plus
