Our growing podiatry practice is seeking an experienced Medical Biller/Coder to join our billing team. This full-time role requires experience with Medical Accounts Receivable, billing, and coding specifically in podiatry or a related field. Candidate must be COVID-19 vaccinated.
Daily responsibilities include accurate billing using ICD-10 and CPT-4 codes with appropriate modifiers, resubmitting corrected claims electronically, answering insurance and patient billing inquiries, resolving billing questions, collection efforts including patient contact and claims resubmissions, processing insurance payments, running financial reports, and assisting with general office tasks such as customer service, data entry, and reception.
The ideal candidate will be self-motivated with strong verbal and written communication skills, attention to detail, organization, a professional attitude, and willingness to learn and be coached. A positive "can do" attitude is essential.
- Experience in medical billing and coding, specifically in podiatry or similar fields.
- Knowledge of ICD-10 and CPT-4 coding and modifiers.
- Experience managing Accounts Receivable and denied claims.
- Ability to communicate effectively with patients, insurance companies, and staff.
- COVID-19 vaccination required.
- Proven customer service and data entry skills.
- Self-motivated and detail-oriented with a professional demeanor.
- At least a 10% pay raise within the first year based on experience.
