We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Medical Billing and Coding Specialist to join our healthcare team. In this vital role, you will manage the full revenue cycle process, focusing on analyzing aging accounts receivable, identifying reasons for pending claims, and top denial reasons. Responsibilities include reviewing third-party claims for accuracy, working with insurance companies to maximize reimbursement.

Responsibilities:

Follow up on outstanding accounts receivable and check claim status with insurance companies.
Review, appeal, and resolve denied or partially paid claims; follow up on unpaid or denied claims.
Verify, correct, and process billing statements ensuring accurate payment posting and EOB/ERA interpretation.
Verify patient insurance coverage, benefits, and eligibility prior to service delivery.
Keep current with ICD coding guidelines, CPT coding changes, and regulatory requirements.
Perform other duties and projects as assigned.

Qualifications:

Minimum one year experience in medical office billing.
Strong knowledge of ICD-10, CPT, medical terminology.
Experience with EMR/EHR systems for billing and record keeping.
Excellent attention to detail for accurate coding and billing submissions.
Able to interpret complex insurance policies and medical collection procedures.
Effective communication skills to collaborate with healthcare providers, insurance companies, and patients.
